Tottenham Hotspur legend Graham Roberts has urged the club to learn from their suspensions for next season.

Spurs, who have enjoyed a decent season despite being piped to the Premier League title by Leicester City, however, had to endure some disciplinary issues late in the campaign.

Dele Alli was handed a three-game ban by the Football Association after the starlet was charged with an act of violet conduct in the 1-1 draw with West Bromwich Albion on 25th April.

In the very next match against Chelsea, which ended in a 2-2 draw, Mousa Dembele clashed with Diego Costa and was later booked with a similar charge and handed a six-game ban.

Both incidents went unnoticed by match officials, but were caught on video.

And Roberts praised Tottenham’s performances in the present campaign, but wants the north London outfit to be a more disciplined team next season.

“We've had great season and will get better next season, but we need to learn re our suspensions as we need all our great players on the pitch”, he tweeted.

Tottenham, who are second in the Premier League, will face Newcastle United in their last game of the season on Sunday.
