Arsenal have moved into pole position to hoover up the signing of Leicester City midfielder N'Golo Kante this summer after Manchester City's interest cooled.

Kante's stock is sky high after he helped Leicester win the most unlikely league title in history, with the Foxes confounding their doubters and lasting the distance to scoop the Premier League crown.

The midfielder has been linked with leaving the King Power Stadium, especially as he has a release clause set at €25m in his contract.

Both Arsenal and Manchester City have been linked with bidding for Kante, as have Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain.

But according to French magazine Le 10 Sport, Arsenal are now in pole position to sign Kante and are willing to pay his release clause fee, leaving Leicester helpless.
