Roma head coach Luciano Spalletti has indicated that Juventus target Miralem Pjanic could leave the Stadio Olimpico this summer.

The Bosnian midfielder has been a lynchpin in the Roma team for a number of seasons and the club have so far seen off a number of his suitors over the years, including Liverpool.

However, it could be the summer the club might be facing their toughest test yet in keeping the midfielder at Roma as Italian champions Juventus are keen to take him to Turin.

Pjanic has a release clause of €38m release clause in his contract, and it has been suggested that Juventus have already opened talks with Roma over a potential deal for the 26-year-old.

And Roma coach Spalletti has conceded despite Pjanic being happy at the club many things have to be taken into consideration while deciding on the future of a player.

He told Tutto Mercato when asked about Pjanic: “It would be painful to let him go, as with the others.

“He is fine at Roma, but you need to take many things into consideration.”

Pjanic joined Roma from Lyon in the summer of 2011 and has clocked up 185 senior appearances for the Giallorossi.
