Premier League club Bournemouth are not ready to sell star duo Callum Wilson and Matt Ritchie, despite interest from West Ham United.

The Cherries rejected a combined bid of £20m for the duo from West Ham and have made it clear that they do not intend to sell them.

Following Bournemouth’s game at Old Trafford last night, which ended in a 3-1 win for Manchester United and confirmed that they will finish in 16th place in the Premier League table, Cherries boss Eddie Howe was quoted as saying by BBC: "We had a bid yesterday evening.

“It was from West Ham but the bid was rejected and we have no intention to sell”, added the 38-year-old.

"We want to try to improve our squad, not weaken it."

26-year-old Ritchie joined Bournemouth from Swindon Town in 2013 and has scored four goals this season, racking up six assists.

Wilson, who is 24, returned to league action this April after missing around six months due to a cruciate knee ligament injury he suffered during the early part of the campaign.

The duo did feature during the Vitality Stadium based side’s clash last night, but were unable to help Howe’s men in their bid to complete a double over the Red Devils, who ran out 3-1 winners.
