Everton have made contact with Lucien Favre's representatives as they look to appoint a new manager at Goodison Park.

The Toffees recently sacked manager Roberto Martinez after the fans turned decisively against the Spaniard following a poor Premier League campaign.

They have been linked with a number of potential appointments and ex-Borussia Monchengladbach coach Favre is now in the mix.

Indeed, according to Swiss daily Blick, Everton have now made contact with Favre's representatives.

It remains to be seen whether the Swiss coach is Everton's preferred candidate to succeed Martinez at Goodison Park, or one of a number of contenders they wish to speak to.
