Sunderland and West Bromwich Albion are interested in signing Feyenoord defender Terence Kongolo, according to Dutch magazine Voetbal International.

The Netherlands international, who progressed through Feyenoord’s youth ranks, made 35 appearances in all competitions for the Eredivisie outfit this season.

Besides providing stability to Feyenoord’s defence, where he played both as a centre-back and as a left-back, Kongolo also managed to provide three assists.

The 22-year-old’s impressive displays have attracted the interest of Sunderland and West Brom, with German teams Hamburg and Bayer Leverkusen also keeping tabs on the youngster.

However, Feyenoord are expected to slap a high asking price on Kongolo, who is contracted with the club until the summer of 2018.
