Liverpool playmaker Roberto Firmino admits that despite the quality of Sevilla, the Reds have nothing to fear when they face the current holders in the Europa League final tonight.

Jurgen Klopp’s men finished eighth in the Premier League table, but are aware that they have the opportunity to play in next season’s Champions League should they beat Sevilla in the final.

The prospect of Champions League football is a huge incentive for Liverpool after a disappointing league campaign, and Firmino admits that there is tension in the air ahead of the big night Basel.

The Brazilian has no qualms in accepting that tonight is the biggest game of the season for Liverpool, and despite Sevilla winning the last two editions of the Europa League, he insisted that the Reds have nothing to fear against the Spaniards.

When asked whether he is feeling a little tense ahead of the big game, the Brazilian told German magazine Sport Bild: “Oh yes!

“This is ultimately the most important game of the season for us. We have worked very hard over the campaign, and deserve to be in the final.
