Young West Ham United striker Jahmal Hector-Ingram has claimed that he wants to make his debut at the Olympic Stadium for the Hammers.

The West Ham Under-21s youngster, who penned a new three-year deal with the club recently, is set to turn professional on his 18th birthday and was initially at Upton Park on a scholarship basis.




The 17-year-old struggled with injuries during the early part of the campaign for the Under-18s, but soon recovered to find the net five times in 13 appearances for the young Hammers.

Hector-Ingram’s impressive form helped him feature in the development squad’s cup run, allowing him to turn out in the semi-final triumph over Liverpool and the first leg win against Hull City.
 


Part of the West Ham academy since he was an eight-year-old, Hector-Ingram made his Barclays Under-18 Premier League debut at the age of 15 and scored five times in 11 appearances for the Under-18s during the 2014/15 season.

The 1998-born youngster, who has scored four times this season for the Under-21s, has claimed that he intends to make his debut for Slaven Bilic’s men at Olympic Stadium.

He was quoted as saying by West Ham’s official website, after penning the new deal: “My aim is to make my debut in the new stadium in the up and coming years.

“It will be the biggest dream come through if I made my debut for West Ham and it will be even more special if I made it at the new stadium. Hopefully I can reach my aims as soon as possible.

“It’s most definitely a special time to be committing to the club. To know that the new stadium is very local to my childhood background is even more exciting, I'm looking forward to the challenge ahead.”
