Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has indicated that he is willing to dig his heels in in order to keep West Ham and Tottenham Hotspur target Alexandre Lacazette at the club.

The French striker’s future at Lyon has been a topic of discussion for over a year, but Les Gones have so far managed to hold on to him, and are set for another fight to keep Lacazette this summer.

The club have already rejected a £31m bid from West Ham for the striker, though the Hammers are expected to come back with another offer, as they look to add more strength to their attacking reserves.

Tottenham are also interested in signing the player and even French champions Paris Saint-Germain are considering a summer move for the 24-year-old striker from France.

However, the Lyon president is not ready to lose the player without a fight, and indicated that he is ready to keep battling to hold on to the club’s academy graduate beyond the summer.

Responding to recent L’Equipe reports, the Lyon president said on Twitter: “Let’s see if you are really honest to say this one time that the president decided not to sell Al Lacazette.”

A product of the Lyon academy, the striker has scored 92 goals in 230 appearances for the club since breaking into the first team in 2009.

Lacazette has a contract until 2019 with the club.
