Anthony Stokes feels he could have scored four goals against Rangers in Hibernian's 3-2 Scottish Cup final win on Saturday.

The Irishman, who is on loan at Hibs from Celtic, netted after just three minutes at Hampden Park against Rangers, though the Gers struck back in the 27th minute through a powerful Kenny Miller header to ensure it was 1-1 at the break.

Rangers then went ahead in the 64th minute through Andy Halliday, before Stokes levelled things up with ten minutes left to play.

It looked set to head into extra-time, but in the second minute of added time, Hibernian captain David Gray rose to meet a corner from Liam Henderson to head his side to a 3-2 win.

Hibernian were delighted and their fans invaded the pitch to celebrate, with Hibs collecting their first Scottish Cup since 1902 and a big consolation for missing out on promotion from the Scottish Championship.

Stokes was thrilled with his performance and feels he could have had four goals against Rangers had he been more clinical.

"It was unbelievable. I actually thought I could have had a couple more goals", Stokes told BBC Scotland after the final whistle.

"I scored at good stages of the game, but I think it's fitting that David Gray scores the winner.

"He's been outstanding since I came in, a great captain and has led us great throughout the season", he added.
