Lazio have entered the race for Tottenham Hotspur and Leicester City linked Gianluca Lapadula, according to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato.

The 26-year-old has been in fine form for Pescara in the present campaign, scoring 27 times and providing 11 assists in 42 appearances in all competitions.

Lapadula’s impressive performances have attracted the interest of Premier League duo Spurs and Leicester, with the forward himself claiming that he would relish playing alongside Jamie Vardy at the King Power Stadium.

Fellow Italian clubs Napoli, Juventus and Genoa are also interested in signing Lapadula in the summer; Lazio are the latest entrant in the chase for the striker, whose present contract with Pescara runs until 2019.

Lapadula, who is a product of Juventus’ academy, joined Pescara from Parma only last summer.
