Mirco Antenucci has revealed he was disappointed by the quality of the head coaches appointed by Leeds United during his time at Elland Road.

The Italian striker is leaving the Whites this summer, having been released by the club, something which will kick in once his contract expires at the end of June.

Antenucci regularly chipped in with goals for the Yorkshire giants and there were calls to tie him down to a new contract, but the Italian was reportedly ready to return to his homeland in the winter transfer window, though Leeds vetoed his exit, and is now set to once again play in Italy.

He is happy to have turned out in English football for Leeds however, though admits to being disappointed at the organisation of the club off the pitch, along with the lack of quality of coaches brought in, two factors which have contributed towards the Whites failing to win promotion to the Premier League.

"From the point of view of football I discovered a new reality, different from ours. They have a way around them to live football, playing facilities which are beautiful and always full, training facilities which are large and modern", he told Italian outlet GianlucaDiMarzio.

"Instead, what disappointed me was the corporate organisation of Leeds, which has been lacking in the past two years.

"It is a club that for the supporters and the badge deserves to always play in the Premier League", Antenucci continued.

"To do that you need to give the players the best conditions, something that has not always happened.

"Then I was disappointed also with the quality of the coaches who took turns [at the club]", the Italian hitman admitted.

Antenucci worked under David Hockaday, Darko Milanic, Neil Redfearn, Uwe Rosler and Steve Evans during his time at Leeds.

The Whites could have yet another head coach in place by the time the 2016/17 season kicks off.
