England striker Harry Kane has spoken about his delight at seeing so many Tottenham Hotspur players being involved in the national team.

As many as five Tottenham players were involved in the 2-1 win over Turkey in a friendly at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.




The match was evenly contested as the visitors cancelled out Kane's opener in the 13th minute. The Three Lions in fact had to wait until the 83rd minute before Leicester's Jamie Vardy managed to find the winner.

Kane, who missed a penalty during the match, is happy with the result is he believes that it sets them nicely up for Euro 2016 starting in June. He was also happy to see his north London team-mates Dele Alli, Eric Dier, Danny Rose and Kyle Walker all playing their roles in ensuring the victory.
 


"It's great we've so many Spurs players playing", Kane told his club's official website.

"It's great for our club and certainly something to be proud of.

"In terms of the game, it's a positive start and a good win. I was happy to score again and get us on our way, Dele managed another nutmeg and it fell nicely for me."

Kane also took time to speak about his disappointment at missing the penalty, insisting that he will keep working on that area.

"Of course, I was disappointed about the missed penalty but that's football. I'll keep practising and I'll be ready for the next one."
