Steve Evans is planning to be back in work at Leeds United on Wednesday, despite the uncertainty surrounding his future at the club, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post.

The 53-year-old, who took charge of Leeds in October, helped the Whites to a 13th place finish in the Championship.

However, Leeds owner Massimo Cellino is yet to offer Evans a new deal which would keep him in charge of the Yorkshire giants next season.

The Scot, who is currently abroad, admitted that he is “hurting” at not knowing whether he will be kept on by Leeds.

Although Evans’ future is not sorted, he is still expected to return to Elland Road on Wednesday.
