Juventus may move for Newcastle United right-back Daryl Janmaat after he asked the Magpies to sell him this summer, according to Italian daily Tuttosport.

Although Janmaat’s present contract with Newcastle runs until 2020, the Dutch international’s future at St James’ Park is in doubt following the club’s relegation from the Premier League and his request to leave.

And Juventus have identified the 26-year-old as a possible summer signing to strengthen their right flank.

With Juan Cuadrado set to return to Chelsea upon the expiration of his loan deal, the Italian champions are short on the right side.

Janmaat’s ability to join attacks is an added advantage for Juventus, especially if he is deployed in a five-man midfield.
