Barcelona have already made a tentative approach for Arsenal’s Hector Bellerin, according to Catalan daily Sport.

With Dani Alves reportedly set to join Juventus in the summer, Barcelona have identified the Arsenal right-back as a replacement for the Brazilian.

Bellerin, who quit Barcelona’s academy for Arsenal in 2011, was in good form in the 2015/16 campaign, scoring once and setting up eight goals in 44 appearances in all competitions.

A few weeks ago an emissary from Barcelona contacted the player’s representatives to discover how Bellerin’s contract talks with Arsenal were going; the Spaniard is contracted with the Gunners until 2019.

In that meeting the possibility was informally discussed of Bellerin returning to the Camp Nou.

It has been claimed that Arsenal are not willing to sit at the negotiating table until a club prepares to shell out around €25m for the 21-year-old.

Besides Bellerin, Barcelona are also keeping tabs on Valencia full-back Joao Cancelo as the Spanish champions are keen to strengthen their right side of defence over the summer.
