Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has admitted that it hurts to see Manchester United in a bad situation.

The Portuguese forward, who piled his trade with the Old Trafford giants until 2009, before he sealed a big money move to the Santiago Bernabeu, has found the net 51 times in all competitions for Real Madrid this season.

Ronaldo, who is currently 31 years old, has a contract at the Madrid-based club until 2018 and is likely to feature against Atletico Madrid in the upcoming Champions League final despite sustaining a minor injury in training.

The forward’s former club Manchester United are set to acquire the services of Jose Mourinho as their new manager, after Louis van Gaal was axed as Red Devils boss on Monday.

Ronaldo has claimed that it hurts to see the Premier League giants in a bad state and hopes Mourinho can take them back to the top again.
