Jose Mourinho is keen to take Roma midfielder Alessandro Florenzi to Manchester United in the summer, according to Italian daily Corriere dello Sport.

The Italy international was in good form for Roma in the 2015/16 campaign, scoring eight times and setting up four goals in 42 appearances in all competitions.

Mourinho, who is set to succeed Louis van Gaal at Old Trafford, has identified Florenzi as one of his summer transfer targets.

The 25-year-old, who joined Roma from Crotone in 2012, is contracted with the Giallorossi until 2019.

However, Manchester United are already drawing up an offer to present to Roma over the possible transfer of Florenzi.

But it has been claimed that the Italian giants are not keen to part ways with Florenzi, who has thus far amassed 170 appearances for the club, netting 23 times and providing as many assists.

He also has 15 caps and two goals for Italy to his name.

Besides Florenzi, Mourinho is also keen to take Roma’s Kostas Manolas to Manchester United.
