Tottenham Hotspur are closing in on completing a deal to sign Liverpool linked playmaker Ante Coric this summer, according to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato.

After finishing third in the Premier League, Spurs are keen to move further forward next season and are looking to bolster the squad with quantity and quality ahead of the 2016/17 campaign, where they will be playing Champions League football.

Mauricio Pochettino is already planning to make some key additions to his squad and it has emerged that Tottenham are looking to complete a deal for Dinamo Zagreb midfielder Coric, who has recently been linked with a move to Anfield.

Joining the Zagreb academy in 2013, the young Croat has made rapid progress through the ranks and has already notched up 80 senior appearances for the club.

His performances in the middle of the park have attracted the attention of Spurs and Liverpool, but it seems the north London outfit are close to securing a deal to sign Coric.

The playmaker has a contract until 2020 with Dinamo Zagreb, but it seems he could be on his way to England during the summer transfer window.
