Roma are looking at Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma as a possible replacement for Antonio Rudiger, according to Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset.

The Germany international, who joined Roma on a loan deal from Stuttgart last summer, has been heavily linked with a move away from the Giallorossi, despite the Serie A outfit being keen to exercise their buying option set at €9m; Chelsea, Liverpool and Paris Saint- Germain are all interested in snapping the centre-back up.

The Italian giants are already preparing for life without Rudiger and are zeroing in on Zouma and Lyon’s Samuel Umtiti, who is also on the radar of Barcelona, as the 23-year- old’s replacement.

Zouma, whose present contract with Chelsea runs until 2019, made 32 appearances in all competitions for the Blues last season, scoring twice and providing an assist.

The Frenchman will miss the upcoming European Championship in his homeland with a ligament injury.
