Jose Mourinho has indicated that he has taken charge of his duties as Manchester United manager this morning.

Despite winning the FA Cup last weekend, Louis van Gaal shown the door at Old Trafford on Monday night and after two days of negotiations, Mourinho was appointed as his successor on Friday.




While the club are expected to only unveil him in a press conference in July, Mourinho has been keen to start his time as Manchester United manager early and it seems he is back at work.

The former Chelsea manager posted a photo on social media, with Manchester United official documents, and indicated that he has started his journey as their manager.

The Portuguese took to Instagram and wrote: “Back at work.”

The players, who won’t be participating in the European Championship will report for pre-season training at Manchester United’s Carrington base in the first week of July.

And Mourinho and the Manchester United squad will be travelling to China on 19th July for a short pre-season tour.

Manchester United will play Borussia Dortmund and Manchester City during the tour before returning to England towards the end of July.

However, Mourinho will be seen in the Old Trafford dugout next Saturday where he will take charge of an England side against the Rest of the World in a charity game.
