Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli has heaped praise on team-mate Christian Eriksen, insisting that it is a "great privilege" for him to share a dressing room with such a talented player.

Alli, who arrived from MK Dons last summer, himself enjoyed a dream run with the north Londoners, playing in 33 of the side's 38 league matches, scoring ten goals.

As part of the Tottenham line-up he had to share responsibilities with Eriksen, the duo performing similar attacking roles, forming part of the attacking group.

And having thus been closely associated with Eriksen, the PFA Young Player of the Year believes that the Danish international is one who is a joy to play with, putting in all the hard work in training and then implementing that on the field.

“Christian is a great player – there’s no hiding the fact that he’s world class and he’s a joy to play with”, Alli told his club's official website.

“He’s one of the players that you enjoy working with every day in training.

"You get to watch him and see how hard he works on the training field and when you do that it’s no surprise when he produces on matchdays the way he does."

Being just 20 years old himself, Alli insists that to be able to watch Eriksen is certainly a privilege for him.

“As a young player, to be able to watch someone like Eriksen, who is obviously young as well, for me it’s a great privilege.”
