Wigan Athletic striker Will Grigg has played down rumours linking him with a switch to Celtic this summer, insisting that he is happy at the DW Stadium.

Grigg was in red hot form for the Latics this season, having scored a total of 28 goals in 43 matches and was instrumental in helping his side clinch promotion to the Championship.

His performances have earned him recognition at international level as well with manager Michael O’Neill selecting him in the Northern Ireland squad for Euro 2016.

The work for now for the 24-year-old striker is to concentrate on his international duties, as he himself insists, putting every decision about his future to rest.

As far as the move to Parkhead is concerned, the player took time to reveal that he is happy to be where he is right now, without paying too much attention to all the rumours flying around.

“At this part of the season there’s always bits and bobs flying around but I am happy at Wigan and I will just concentrate on the Euros now", the striker was quoted as saying by the Herald Scotland.

Grigg started his career as a youngster at Birmingham City before going on to make his senior debut for Southern Football League club Stratford Town in 2007.

He signed a three-year contract with Wigan at the start of the 2015/16 season.
