West Ham United have made a move to sign striker Carlos Bacca from Italian giants AC Milan.

Hammers boss Slaven Bilic is aiming to strengthen his attacking options ahead of the 2016/17 campaign, which will be the club's first at their new Olympic Stadium home.

Bacca is on Bilic's wanted list and according to Italian broadcaster Sky Italia, West Ham have slapped in a bid of €20m for the Colombian's signature.

AC Milan though are only willing to consider letting the former Sevilla hitman leave for a figure closer to the €25m mark, meaning West Ham will have work to do to agree a fee with the Rossoneri.

Bacca is claimed to be open to moving to West Ham, but only if the Premier League side agree to match his current salary at the San Siro, which is around €4m net per year.

West Ham are continuing talks aimed at taking Bacca to the Olympic Stadium and appear to be serious about wanting to push an agreement over the line.

Bacca hit 18 goals in 38 Serie A appearances for AC Milan last season, while he also netted twice in the Coppa Italia to hit the magical 20 goal mark.
