Sevilla sporting director Monchi is not keen to change his mind about leaving the club, but the Spanish giants are still clinging on to their hope of convincing him to stay.

The 47-year-old former goalkeeper reportedly told Sevilla last night that he wants to leave the club soon due to personal reason, but the Basque outfit remain keen to hold on to his services.

Monchi, who played a major role behind the scenes in the club’s recent success in Europe, arrived at the club’s office at Sanchez Pizjuan earlier today to sort out his future at Sevilla.

According to Sevilla ABC, the Andalusians have failed to convince Monchi to change his mind and the 47-year-old is sticking to his stance of leaviing the club this summer.

However, Sevilla are expected to hold one last meeting with Monchi in the coming hours and are hoping that they can convince their sporting director to continue in his role at the Sanchez Pizjuan

Manchester United are said to be closely following events at Sevilla as they are ready to pounce on Monchi if he decides to leave the club.
