Valentino Angeloni, the current sporting director at Serie A side Fiorentina, is interesting English club Sheffield Wednesday.

The deal-maker could be on the move from La Viola this summer, despite having a contract with the Italian club until the summer of 2017.

Angeloni has been linked with Roma, but according to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato, Sheffield Wednesday are increasingly looking like a serious option for the sporting director.

The Owls came close to winning promotion to the Premier League this season, but lost in the playoff final to Hull City.

Were Angeloni to take the post at Hillsborough, he could steer Wednesday into the Italian market this summer as they look to bolster their squad for a renewed promotion push next season.
