Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has revealed that he won’t be signing anyone from the Portuguese league this summer.

The former Chelsea boss was installed as Manchester United manager last week, and he spent close to seven hours at the club’s Carrington base yesterday, in his first visit to the club’s training facilities.

Mourinho is said to be keen to add a number of players in key positions and is expected to receive the financial backing of the Manchester United hierarchy, who want the Portuguese to lead the club back to the pinnacle of English football.

A number of players have already been mentioned as Manchester United targets and Mourinho has been linked with raiding the Portuguese league this summer for players.

However, the Manchester United boss insisted that he is not keen to sign any players from the Portuguese top tier this summer, despite the numerous links and rumours.
