Paris Saint-Germain star Edinson Cavani has refused to rule out a move to Spanish giants Atletico Madrid at some point in the future.

The 29-year-old, who made 52 appearances for Laurent Blanc’s men in all competitions this season, found the net 21 times and assisted five times. The Uruguayan was forced to play out wide a number of times due to the presence of Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the side.

Cavani, who is a vital part of the Uruguay side that play their opening Copa America game on 5th June against Mexico, has been linked with other clubs.

The former Napoli man, who joined the Parc de Princes based club in 2013 for a fee in the region of €64m and has previously plied his trade with Palermo, has a contract that expires in 2018.

He has admitted that a move to the Champions League finalists is something no one knows about.

"Football is always changing and you never know.

"Right now I'm a PSG player and I have to respect that; it would be improper to speak more about it", the striker added.

"We're all friends in the team and Diego [Godin] is in contact with everybody, being the captain.

"Sometimes it's inevitable that we'll talk about the club he's at, it's normal he'd consult me about things involving me.”
