Marco van Ginkel has indicated that Chelsea should consider selling him if they feel that he does not have a future at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea signed the young Dutch midfielder from Vitesse in 2013, but he has made just four senior appearances for the club over the last three years.

He played on loan at AC Milan and Stoke City before joining PSV Eindhoven during the winter transfer window, where he made 16 senior appearances in the second half of the 2015/16 season.

The midfielder admits that he is unsure what lies ahead of him and indicated that he is also not aware whether he features in the plans of new Chelsea boss Antonio Conte.

He insisted that Chelsea should consider selling him in the summer if they feel his future lies away from Stamford Bridge and added that he would not rule out a permanent transfer to the Phillips Stadion.

Van Ginkel told Dutch daily De Telegraaf: “It is still unclear what I am going to do.

“I need to report to Chelsea at some point in July and there is new coach there; I need to know what he intends to do.

“I am not feeling any pressure, I had a good half season here and I feel fine. If I don’t have a future in London, Chelsea would have to sell as I would only have one year left on my contract after next season.

“I had a good time at PSV, so a transfer is possible.”

The midfielder has also represented the Dutch national team at senior level and has five international caps to his name.
