Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo insists that he is "super-happy" at the Bernabeu and would love to retire at the European champions.

The Portuguese superstar has been one of the brightest spots of the Real Madrid team, having helped them win the Champions League for the eleventh time recently.




And now as the 31-year-old prepares to lead his team into Euro 2016 starting from next week, Ronaldo has stressed his happiness with his current club.

Ronaldo had for long time been linked with a move back to his former club Manchester United with the player time and again speaking about his desire to return to Old Trafford.
 


With the speculation now having cooled, the forward has stressed his desire to stay at Real Madrid for as long as he can and retire at the age of 40.

Speaking about his happiness at winning the Champions League, Ronaldo told Spanish daily Marca: "I'm super-happy that we won the Undecima."

The focus for now will be on the Euro 2016 though, as the Portuguese insists his country deserve success.

"Now I'm thinking about the Euros. We want to bring a little happiness to the Portuguese people, they deserve it.

"I'm going to retire at Real Madrid at 40-something. I'm very happy here, I've worked hard to be where I am."
