Chelsea have been tipped to win the transfer scramble for Juventus striker Alvaro Morata.

The Spain international's future has been the source of much speculation this summer and he has been linked with an array of clubs, including Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, Atletico Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain.

A return to Real Madrid has also been mooted for the striker, but according to Spanish daily AS, it is Chelsea who are in pole position to win the race for Morata, in the process granting the request made by incoming manager Antonio Conte, who wants the striker at Stamford Bridge.

It has been claimed that Chelsea will win the race for Morata, as they are a step ahead of the next most interested club, PSG.

Conte wanted Morata at Juventus when in charge of the club and though the striker did arrive, the coach resigned soon afterwards.

Real Madrid have a buy-back clause, which was inserted into their deal to sell Morata to Juventus in 2014, and it remains unclear whether they will use it.

If Los Blancos do buy Morata back, they are likely to sell him in short order to realise an instant profit.
