Fenerbahce are plotting to sign Chelsea striker Loic Remy on loan this summer, according to Turkish daily Sabah.

Remy won the league title in his first season at Chelsea after joining the club in the summer of 2014, but was only a bit part player at Stamford Bridge this term.

Despite Chelsea’s poor showing last season, the Frenchman struggled to break into the starting eleven and continued to remain a fringe player at the west London outfit, even with the failure of other forwards.

Remy has been linked with a move away from Chelsea since January, but the club have so far shown little interest in the letting the player leave.

Serie A outfit Lazio have been linked with a move for the 29-year-old forward but the Frenchman is also attracting interest from Turkish giants Fenerbahce, who are keen to recruit an attacker this summer.

Fenerbahce were disappointed with the performances of their forwards last season and are eyeing taking Remy to Istanbul in the coming months, but only on a loan deal.

Remy has made just 47 appearances, most of them from the bench, for the club, and still has two years left on his contract with Chelsea.
