FC Porto’s Hector Herrera is keen on a move to Napoli, who have already made a bid of €18m for the midfielder, according to Italian broadcaster Sportitalia.

The Mexico international is currently representing his nation in the Copa America, and has also managed to attract the interest of Liverpool, following his impressive displays last season.

Herrera scored nine goals and provided five assists in 38 appearances in all competitions for Porto in the 2015/16 campaign.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is keen to reshuffle his squad over the summer, and the 26-year-old is one of the names on his shortlist of targets.

However, it seems, Napoli, who have been keeping tabs on Herrera for several months, have marched ahead in the race for the Mexican as he is keen on a move to the Serie A club.
