Leeds United are tracking Bournemouth defender Tommy Elphick, who is the subject of a £3m bid from Aston Villa.

The Whites have not done any business in the transfer market this summer, but are expected to kick off their dealings soon given a new head coach has been appointed in the shape of former Swansea City manager Garry Monk.

Aston Villa have already moved to try and add Elphick to their squad by lodging a £3m bid, but they do have Leeds for company, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post.

Leeds have not yet lodged a bid for the 28-year-old, but do hold an interest in him.

Elphick turned out in the Championship for two seasons with Bournemouth and helped the Cherries win promotion to the Premier League.
