Former FC Twente coach Rob Groener believes that Stoke City forward Marko Arnautovic should consider a move to Chelsea if possible, as there he will be able to start to fulfil his potential.

Arnautovic has just a year remaining on his contract at the Britannia Stadium and has admitted he does not yet know where he will be playing his football next season.

He has been linked with leaving Stoke and Groener, who previously represented Arnautovic as his agent, thinks the Austrian needs to go to an environment in which he will receive big support.

Groener told Voetbal International: "I'd rather see him go to Chelsea. There he could count on more support."

And the manager turned agent believes Arnautovic has suffered through having the wrong coaches in the past, something which has stopped him reaching the level his ability befits.

"The problem was in my eyes that he had the wrong managers.

"He needs a father figure; someone who works him but also accepts him.

"Potentially he is a player for Chelsea or Bayern Munich."

Arnautovic is currently in France at Euro 2016, where a series of good displays could ensure that this summer he is not lacking for options when it comes to deciding what the next move in his career should be.
