Napoli have made a €20m bid for Arsenal linked midfielder Corentin Tolisso, but Lyon are yet to respond to the offer, according to French sports daily L’Equipe.

A product of the Lyon academy, the 21-year-old was an important part of their first team plans last season and has attracted the eyes of clubs across Europe.

Arsenal have been tracking the midfielder for months, but are yet to make any concrete move for him and even Southampton are mooted to be interested in Tolisso.

Napoli have made an early move for the 21-year-old Frenchman and it has been claimed that they submitted a €20m offer to Lyon for the midfielder in recent days.

However, the Ligue 1 outfit are yet to respond to the bid and are said to have postponed talks with the Serie A giants over a proposed move for Tolisso to Italy this summer.

On the other hand Napoli are considering bumping up their offer and are expected to come back into the negotiations with an improved bid for the midfielder.

The 21-year-old clocked up 45 appearances for Lyon last season and has also earned 15 caps for France Under-21s.

He has a contract until 2020 with the club.
