Veteran defender Clint Hill is all set to sign a one-year deal with Scottish giants Rangers.

Hill is out of contract having been released by English Championship outfit QPR at the end of last season and is on the lookout for a new challenge.

He has been linked with Rangers, despite his advancing years, and according to STV, the 37-year-old will have a medical with the Gers within the next 48 hours.

If Hill can successfully pass his medical he is expected to put pen to paper on a one-year contract at Ibrox.

Rangers boss Mark Warburton has been looking to add experience to his squad ahead of the club's return to the Scottish Premiership next season.
