Arsenal have lodged an enquiry with Italian giants Inter for Colombian defender Jeison Murillo, according to Sky Italia, but face opposition from Bayern Munich and Zenit St. Petersburg.

Inter are looking at selling Murillo this summer to realise a profit on the initial €8m fee paid to Granada to secure his services last year.

There is no shortage of interest in the Colombia international centre-back as Arsenal have lodged an enquiry with Inter over the 24-year-old, while Bayern Munich are also keen to look at potentially taking Murillo to the Allianz Arena.

Meanwhile, Zenit are shaping up to try to take Murillo to Russia. West Ham, Stoke City and Everton were all also linked earlier this month.

And so Inter look to have a number of options when it comes to selling Murillo, which they will surely hope pushes the fee they would receive up.

Any deal to sign Murillo is not likely to be done imminently as the centre-back is currently on international duty with Colombia at the Copa America.

Colombia are through to the semi-finals of the tournament and will find out this evening whether they will face Mexico or Chile for a place in the final.
