Arsenal have been handed a blow after the agent of Albania international Elseid Hysaj insisted that his client will not quit Napoli this summer.

The full-back has been consistently linked with Arsenal, where Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is thought to rate him highly.

Napoli have in recent days been trying to do a deal for Monaco defender Fabinho, but Hysaj's agent is clear that such a thing does not mean his client will be leaving last season's runners-up in Serie A.

Mario Giuffredi, whose client is at Euro 2016 with Albania, told Italian radio station Radio CRC: "Hysaj is good, he's proven to be a player of great quality at international level.

"The fact that Napoli are seeking a full-back like Fabinho does not bother me."

And the agent claimed that the Albania international is not up for sale and feels he still has much to prove at Napoli, who have indicated they want to improve his contract.

"He is not on the market, because offers may not even interest us.

"I think that Hysaj still has much to prove at Napoli, the city is good and the club want to revise his contract, so I do not understand why he should go away."

Napoli snapped the right-back up last year from fellow Serie A club Empoli and the 22-year-old has impressed in his time at the southern Italian club so far.
