West Ham United are interested in Argentine striker Jonathan Calleri.

The Hammers have been trying to bring in another striker this summer, but have so far been frustrated in their attempts, struggling to get deals over the line.

Slaven Bilic's men have been linked with a number of hitmen, from Lyon's Alexandre Lacazette to AC Milan's Carlos Bacca.

Now there is a new name on the agenda in the shape of 22-year-old Calleri, according to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato.

Calleri made waves at Argentine giants Boca Juniors and was linked with several European clubs as a result, including Chelsea and Roma.

However, he ended up staying in South America and moved to Sao Paulo on loan from Deportivo Maldonado, a Uruguayan club who have snapped up and loaned out a number of players.

The deal may be a complex one for the Hammers to do, but they are looking at ways to take Calleri to the Olympic Stadium.
