Manchester City youngster David Faupala is attracting interest from France during the summer transfer window, according to L’Equipe.

The Premier League giants snapped up the young forward from RC Lens last summer on a free transfer and he impressed for their youth sides last season.

Faupala scored four goals in 16 appearances for the Manchester City Under-21s and even made his senior debut for the club when they fielded a second string side against Chelsea in the FA Cup.

The Frenchman is looking to experience more first team action next season, but he is not expected to be a regular part of Pep Guardiola’s first team squad.

Therefore Manchester City could loan him out this summer, and it has been claimed Faupala is generating considerable interest in his homeland, with Ligue 2 clubs keen to snap him up.

Tours have enquired about the striker in recent weeks, but it has been claimed Auxerre are more interested and are set to launch a more concerted effort to sign Faupala this summer.

Faupala remains keen to experience regular first team action next season and could return to France in the coming months to satiate his desire.

He has a contract until 2018 with Manchester City.
