Premier League champions Leicester City have confirmed the capture of Sporting Gijon defender Luis Hernandez.

Hernandez, who is currently 27 years old, hails from Spain and made as many 140 appearances for Sporting Gijon throughout his stay at the Spanish club.




A product of the Real Madrid youth academy, Hernandez will pen a four-year deal, starting 1st July, at the King Power based club, who have snapped him up on a free transfer.

Someone who can play as centre-back and can also slot in as a right-back, Hernandez will join Claudio Ranieri’s men for their pre-season preparations.
 


Hernandez featured for the Real Madrid B and C sides, before moving to Sporting Gijon in 2012 where he established himself as a regular.
