Manchester United target Zlatan Ibrahimovic has announced that he will retire from Sweden duty post Euro 2016.

The striker, who will be celebrating his 35th birthday this October, has led his side in the tournament in France this month and has been involved in the only goal the Swedes have scored in their last two matches.

The situation for Erik Hamren's side looks complex though as the side are currently placed third in Group E and face an uphill task in their final match against Belgium in their last group stage match tomorrow.

And if things do not go Ibrahimovic's way, tomorrow's match could be the former Inter Milan man's final in a Sweden shirt.

The announcement will come as a blow to Sweden, who must now think about life after Ibrahimovic.

The talisman has scored an overall 62 international goals, which is a national record, and an appearance against Belgium would take his caps to 116, which is itself is an achievement.

After leaving Paris Saint-Germain this summer, Ibrahimovic has been linked with a move to be reunited with his former Inter manager Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford.
