Tottenham Hotspur have not yet won the race for Roma striker Antonio Sanabria, with talk of him imminently moving to White Hart Lane wide of the mark, it has been claimed.

Spurs are keen on Sanabria, having been impressed with his season-long loan stint in La Liga with Sporting Gijon, who he helped to avoid relegation in the recently concluded campaign.

However, according to Italian outlet Calcio Mercato, the striker is likely to take his time before deciding his next move, especially as he has also attracted the eyes of Real Madrid and Sevilla.

Following his participation in the Copa America with Paraguay, Sanabria is taking time to consider what his next move should be.

Sanabria chose to leave Barcelona's B team for Roma in 2014 and enjoyed a stint with Sassuolo before officially landing at the Giallorossi.

The striker hit his stride at Sporting Gijon last season, even bagging a hat-trick as his side crushed Las Palmas towards the end of 2015, as he reaped the rewards of playing regular first team football.

Sanabria has won eight caps at international level for Paraguay and turned out at the ongoing Copa America in the United States, but has yet to open his account for the South American country.
