Juventus are keeping close tabs on Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez as they feel the forward could be available for a reasonable fee and should be less expensive than Everton’s Romelu Lukaku.

The Chile international joined Arsenal from Barcelona for a fee of around £32m in 2014, and has been a talismanic figure in Arsene Wenger’s team over the last couple of seasons.

However, other than an FA Cup success, Arsenal have not won anything else during his stint at the Emirates and their regular failures in the Premier League and the Champions League are said to have frustrated some of their top stars, including Sanchez.

Against that backdrop, Juventus are reportedly interested in the Chilean and he is on their shortlist of forwards they want to pursue following Alvaro Morata’s exit from the club earlier this week.

And according to Tuttosport, optimistic Juventus officials feel the Arsenal man could be available for a fee of around £30m during the summer transfer window.

Juventus believe Sanchez would be a cheaper option than Romelu Lukaku, for whom Everton could ask for an eye watering transfer fee this summer.

However, Wenger is highly unlikely to entertain any offers for Sanchez in the coming months and is expected to fight tooth and nail to keep his star man at the Emirates.

The Chilean has a contract until 2018 with the club.
