Italian giants Juventus have jumped into the race for Arsenal linked Brazilian youngster Marquinhos Cipriano, but have have to move quickly, according to Italian daily Gazzetta dello Sport.

The 17-year-old is currently contracted to Brazilian outfit Sao Paulo and managed 14 goals in 12 games for the club's Under-17 side.




His performances have not gone unnoticed with the Gunners showing keen interest in adding the youngster to their ranks.

The Brazilian outfit though are not keen on allowing one of their brightest future prospects to leave and want the player to continue with his development on home soil.
 


At present Cipriani has a €30m release clause in his contract and it remains to be seen whether either Arsenal or Juventus are willing to activate it.

However, it is believed that the Gunners have already made contact with Sao Paulo with regards to the availability of the player and will be monitoring the situation keenly.

The Italian champions' entry into the race will further complicate matters, but Juventus may need to act quickly to put him at the disposal of coach Massimiliano Allegri.

As recognition for his contributions, Cipriani has recently been called up to the Brazilian Under-17 squad.
