Veteran Rangers striker Kenny Miller believes Mark Warburton has done a brilliant job of adding a good blend of players to the squad this summer.

Ahead of their first season back in the Premiership since 2011, Warburton has done some early business in the transfer market and is keen to add three more players by the end of the summer window.

While Joey Barton, Clint Hill and Niko Kranjcar will add experience and nous to the squad, Matt Crooks, Josh Windass and Jordan Rossiter will add youthful exuberance to the Rangers side.

And Miller feel the Rangers boss has done a commendable job in adding the right blend of players to strengthen the squad, and believes the Gers have increased their chances of having a good season ahead of them.

The veteran forward said in a press conference: “It’s a great blend.

“At the moment, he is talking about bringing another couple in; the signings we have made, the manager has done a fantastic job in getting a really good blend.

“Experience, the lads who have been on the course and distance, winners, leaders – the more guys you get in your team like that, more chances you have of being successful.”

Miller scored 21 goals last season for the Gers and will be hoping to make an impact in the Scottish top tier in the 2016/17 campaign.
