Rangers skipper Lee Wallace has insisted that he will look to help the new signings settle at the Glasgow based club.

Wallace, who is currently 28 years old, made 36 league appearances for the Gers last season, scoring seven times and assisting ten times, joined the club from Hearts in 2011 for a fee of £1.5m after making 139 league appearances for the Maroons.

Someone who plays as a left back, but can also be deployed as a left midfielder, Wallace’s impressive performances won him the Players’ Player of the Year award for the Teddy Bears last season.

Rangers have already acquired the services of the likes of Joey Barton, former Tottenham midfielder Niko Kranjcar, Liverpool youngster Jordan Rossiter and former QPR defender Clint Hill.

Wallace has claimed that he will help the new signings settle into the club, who have won promotion to the Scottish Premiership.

He told the official Rangers website: “Obviously I had that last year with a couple of later additions, a couple of January signings as well, and that goes without saying.

“The manager is first class on that as well, he’ll have the guys making sure they feel fully welcome and I’ll of course be there if anybody needs any help.

“I’ve done that already and I’d like to think that the guys coming in, the more experienced lads, they know the game, they of course know in terms of the levels they’ve been.

“Of course it’s different when you come here, we are a massive club with an outstanding training facility, so any help I can give to these guys to do with the club, of course I will be there to help.”

Rangers claimed the Scottish Championship crown to seal their return to the Scottish Premiership, but could not succeed in winning the Scottish Cup as they were beaten 3-2 by Hibernian in the final of the competition.
