Spain and Celta Vigo forward Nolito has insisted that neither he has signed anything with Manchester City, nor has he spoken to Pep Guardiola.

The 29-year-old forward’s future has been a topic of speculation since January, when Barcelona made a serious play to take him to the Camp Nou, but failed in their attempts.

While the Catalan giants are still in the chase and Tottenham Hotspur have scouted the Spaniard at Euro 2016, it has been suggested that Manchester City are doing all the leg work to sign the player and Nolito has even met the new Citizens boss Pep Guardiola to discuss his proposed move.

The forward admits that he cannot complain about how things have been going on the pitch for him, but he refused to provide any guarantees about his future at Celta Vigo.

However, he added that he is yet to sign anything with Manchester City and rubbished claims that he has met Guardiola to discuss his proposed move to England.

The forward was quoted as saying by Mundo Deportivo: “We will see what will happen with my future, but I can’t complain about how things have been going for me in terms of my career.

“For now I have not signed with Manchester City, and I am not lying, but we will see.

“I have not spoken to Guardiola, do not be mischievous.”

Nolito, who turns 30 this October, scored 12 goals for Celta Vigo last season and has a contract until 2019 with the club.
