Cesena have made former Leeds United striker Mirco Antenucci their top transfer target, however Reading have slapped an offer in front of the Italian.

Antenucci top scored for Leeds in the 2014/15 season, while last term he finished as the Whites' second highest scorer as they ended the campaign sat in 13th spot in the Championship.




However, Leeds chose not to offer Antenucci a contract extension – they could now come up against their former star next season if he chooses to take up Reading's offer.

According to Sky Italia, the Royals have made an offer to Antenucci, but Cesena are putting their foot on the accelerator when it comes to securing the striker.
 


Cesena have decided to make Antenucci their number one transfer target this summer and are hoping to tempt him back to his homeland.

Antenucci is claimed to prefer a return to Italy, in what is a boost for Cesena.

Cesena managed a finish of sixth spot in Serie B last season, scoring 57 goals in their 42 games, a total fewer than the top five sides.

The 31-year-old turned out in Italy for his entire career before moving to Leeds in 2014.
